Wigan Athletic are set to face off with Norwich City in the English championship on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
While a number of players are going to miss the game due to various injuries, several other options are available for selection. Alex Gilbey is yet to recover from ankle injury, Reece James is also out die to ankle problem. Nick Powell and Donervon Daniels have hamstring and knee issues respectively so they are also ruled out.
Deadline transfer signings Mikael Mandron, Jack Byrne, Josh Laurent, Alex Bruce and Matt Gilks are expected to make their debut. Gabriel Obertan might also get called unto action.
On the other hand, the visitors would be without Alex Tettey as he is suspended from the fixture. Steven Naismith and James Maddison have different injury concerns so they remain doubts. Matt Jarvis has been cleared to play as he seems to have recovered from his hamstring problem.
The high stakes game would be played at the DW Stadium and Warren Joyce would remain hopeful of a victory following the results they have gotten of recent. Wigan are six points away from Burton Albion who are in 21st spot but with their two games in hand and a victory over Norwich they can close the gap and dream on escaping relegation.
Norwich have been relatively disappointing for a side that was playing in the top flight last year and a Championship side that started well. With a win they can regain a playoff spot for the first time since they dropped out of the top six.
