Paul Cook Admits Disappointment at Dropped Points against Peterborough United

Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook has admitted that it is proving extremely difficult in order to manage the club.


It has been a good start to the season for the League One outfit as they are second in the table after having managed four wins in the last five league matches. Shrewsbury Town are top of the table but they have a four-point advantage. Wigan, though, are at a significant risk of losing the second spot with consistent pressure from Peterborough United and Bradford City. Speaking after the 3-2 loss against Peterborough United,Cook claimed that managing the Latics was an extremely difficult job considering that the club’s weaknesses and strengths are apparent to every opponent.

An own goal from Steven Taylor opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, but Peterborough United were able to come in with late goals through Junior Morias in order to get into the front by the 84th minute. Just when it seemed that Ryan Colclough had provided Wigan with a point from the game with his goal in the 87th minute, Jack Marriott came up with the winner for Peterborough in the injury team of the game.
